Really bummed out over my experience. I have been going to Cedar Park Physician Associates (2 different locations) since moving to Leander in 2021. Unfortunately, I would find a Doctor I liked and then they would leave so I had to find a new one. I have been going to Cedar Park Physician Associates for the same reason over the past couple of years. When my problem popped up again a couple months ago I kept trying to see a Doctor at a location closer to my house and kept having the issue of appointments getting canceled since I hadn’t seen that particular practitioner before / them not being available anymore since they too were leaving. In all the surrounding areas of Leander / Cedar Park I couldn’t get in anywhere for over a month which wasn’t going to work. I put off going to a Cedar Park Physician Associates due to this and sought out a Functional Medicine Doctor in my area just to figure out any underlining issues I could have going on in the meantime. I ended up booking an appointment with a Cedar Park Physician Associate Doctor for the beginning of this month to get a prescription I needed in the past for the same issue. When I got in the room I spoke with the nurse about what was going on and what my Functional Medicine Doctor had decided was the root cause. We had done multiple different tests to figure this out. More in depth tests than I have ever gotten done in regards to this issue I had brought up to Cedar Park Physician Associates throughout the years. I was asked to send my tests to them which I did. This is where I had an upsetting experience. The Doctor comes in letting me know her name and then proceeds to interrogate me as to why I am even in her office and seeing her. She seemed very offended that I have a “Primary Care Doctor” already and that it “made no sense” for me to be seeing her. I was told by her that she googled my Functional Medicine Doctor while I was waiting in the room for her and asked if I was trying to “switch” to her. We probably went back and forth for 5 minutes about why it didn’t make sense in her eyes for me to be talking to her. She asked why I was even at their location multiple times and I had told her I was there to fix the issue I was dealing with and I was seeing my Functional Medicine Doctor to get healthy. I have been to a Cedar Park Physician Associates multiple times for this same issue so it only made sense for me to go back for the same issue. I had asked why I wasn’t allowed to have more than one Doctor and she responded with “I’m not saying I don’t want to see you it just doesn’t make sense”. She also told me that what my Functional Medicine Doctor said was my root cause wasn’t “correct” but that I had autoimmune problems and most likely “Lupus” and asked if I wanted to be referred out. So before I could even talk to the Doctor about what I was seeing her for I had to be interrogated as to why I was even there. Then shamed me and my other Doctor for what seemed like wanting to test out a different route to fix this issue I have been dealing with. She also did a very bad job at listening. I was telling her stuff I had realized while dealing with this particular issue over the years and she wasn’t 100% listening because she’d then give advice on what not to do / use after I had already said I wasn’t doing those things / using those things. It took everything out of me to not cry in front of her because I was there for something that I genuinely needed help with and most of my time was spent talking about why I shouldn’t be there. I will not be going back to Cedar Park Physician Associates and I will not recommend Dr. Bonsall APRN to anyone that has seen another Doctor than her before because she seems to be very offended by that. Hopefully other people will have a better experience than I did but I’m sorry for anyone else who has ever felt that way in a Doctors office. Very upsetting experience for sure.

Very nice and felt very comfortable speaking with her and the medical assistant in the office overall. Discovered I was initially misdiagnosed when I finally got in to the specialist. She absolutely did the right thing by referring me, and even had staff call to try in get me in as soon as possible, which I absolutely appreciate. My issue is I felt like I was written off every time I asked if it could be something else. I questioned my symptoms in comparison to the diagnosis. I informed her that I understood without diagnostic testing it is hard to be 100% sure what I have going on, but asked her how confident she was that her diagnosis was correct and what else it could be if not. She insisted she was pretty certain. My perception was she did not even want to consider any other option from what she was convinced it was. My issue was being incorrectly treated for 2 weeks with incorrect medication. And when I called to let the office know about it, the medical assistant was pretty cold. Not to mention she never called me herself to address it after the fact. Just overall disappointing. Especially considering I have to pay money to be misdiagnosed and my condition was extremely painful and uncomfortable. Knowing it could’ve been resolved sooner with the proper medication is also disappointing.

When I was sick, the team booked me the same day I asked for help. Diane is thoroughly professional and expert in her consultation; she is also down to earth and straightforward with her analyses. I could not have asked for a better health authority. Diane was able recommend the best solutions for fighting my sickness. I am already better than just two days ago. If you need prompt and stalwart support, look no further than Family First Healthcare - Ronald Reagan. They know what they are doing.

I was unable to get in to see my regular provider and I was having debilitating pain in my neck from a prior injury and a pinched nerve. They found a same day opening with Diane. She was extremely kind and they gave me an injection to help with the pain. Unfortunately, the shot did not even touch my pain and when I contacted their office to ask for pain medication, a nurse essentially called me a junkie and refused to prescribe pain medication. They prescribed a muscle relaxer instead. So, here I am still in immense pain. Sometimes, pain medication is necessary.

I went in really sick, was miserable for the next couple days. Went to see my doctor and tested positive with strep. My confusion was why they didn’t want to test me for strep when all my symptoms lead to that. First word out of the nurses mouth was covid and after I was negative the NP said my throat was red and I was really swollen, but went straight to virus, wasted $35. I could of been on the antibiotic 3 days ago feeling much better right now but unfortunately just now starting it.
