Dr. Romanick is a very personable skilled physician. He explained the whole process of my knee replacement and what the experience would be, and it was spot on. I also needed some changes to the post op protocols & he was quick to provide me an individualized plan. I recommend him to anyone needing a knee replacement.

I was having so very much pain that sleep was impossible. I hurt sitting or riding in a car. A constant pain. My surgery was amazing as the only pain I have now is healing. I can sit, drive and lay pain free. This was my second surgery with Dr. Romonick. He is fantastic plus he explains this where I can understand. Really appreciate his team. I always feel safe in their hands. I am three weeks post op. I help my husband do clothes. I wash dishes. I am already riding a stationary bike. Good people all around. Many thanks!!

Bad experience with front office staff. Very uncourteous, unfriendly , no knowledge of patience with pain, not accommodating, had broken wrist from an accident, could not be seen , even ER report showed BRoKen. Had to come twice to office to finally get appt 3 Days later. Waited for 1hr, even I told the front office girl, that I have another appointment for my broken spine: well she said : your turn will be when you are booked.
I think the attitude must come from the top. The doctor might be a good surgeon, but has no people and staff skills. This Fredericksburg is a small town, to many retirees but not enough doctors. Maybe the hospital should put up some kind of promotion to attract doctors, Nurses, office staff and offer excellent pay. I need to move back to Dallas to get great medical service. I pay a very high premium on health insurance and I have to deal with unfriendly, unkind service.All my other doctors: oncology, pain management, rehab, cardiology are most fantastic, but orthopedic what a disaster.

Dr. Romanick is a very excellent surgeon . I have had two total hip replacements in 7 months and now pain free and ready to go back to work. Bedside manner is very good. Attention to detail builds confidence. Restore program is totally dedicated to exactly that. Total restoration and patient being able to function well in whatever way is needed in their lifestyle.
I'm well pleased with Dr Romanick , the Restore program , and every person on staff I encountered at Hill Country Memorial from registration to checking out of hospital to go home.
Wonderful volunteers also.
