As an Office /Call Center Manager, I take pride in providing the best customer service possible. I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service as I did this morning.

I arrived early to my appointment (I was told to check in at 8 AM, I arrived 20 minutes early as I had never been to this office before) and I was patiently waiting outside the office. I could see and hear people inside, however, I knew I was early so I was happy to wait outside. There was an older woman sitting at the front desk and younger gentleman standing behind her. I hear the man say something to the effect of: our first appointment is here, should I let her in. The woman replies: I'm not letting her in, don't open that door. What is she doing here at 7:40 when check-in isn't till 8:30, her appointment is at 9.

The man comes and opens the door, I sit down and do not approach the desk as I realize I am very early and say as much to the woman at the desk. She proceeds to ask me my name, DOB, etc. and then tells my I don't have an appointment today, my appointment was on the 15th and that I was "no show". I explain that I know this appointment was made for today, the 18th because I was processing payroll earlier this week and told the scheduler I could not make any appointment before Wednesday. The receptionist then excuses the scheduling snafu but stating, our schedulers are remote.

People do not go to Gastroenterologists for the fun of it. People go to specialty doctors because they are sick and in need of care. I have NEVER encountered anyone with such a nasty attitude or blatant disregard for others.

I will not be going to back! I will find a doctors office that treats their patients with respect and kindness and puts their patients well-being first!

DO NOT GO HERE.
Saw Dr. Brenner and honestly can say this person has zero business being a healthcare professional. Completely dismissed me when I told her what I did to manage my disease. Then added that my risk of cancer was particularly high based ONLY on the amount of years I’ve had the disease… nothing else… why even say that When I said how good I had been doing with my disease and how I hadn’t experienced a flare in years she said “I’ve had patients who go for 50 years without a flare and then all of a sudden get a horrible one :)”… There is absolutely no need to come out the gate with the most negative and horrible facts you can think of. So if you’re looking for hope and support from a competent professional versed in recent research in the field.. again.. DO NOT GO HERE.

Yikes! I have been referred by 2 doctors to see GI.

I'm confused, I saw Dr. Trouillot and he jumped to a lot of conclusions. I told him a symptom in the past tense and he was like "oh that's why, because you vape." And I said "uh... No, we found out that was because of my autoimmune medication I had to go off of." Then blamed everything on weed. Even if I have CHS, I decided I would go with what he told me, there are different issues happening also. I've become agoraphobic because of my GI issues since November '23 and was praying a doctor could help or at least listen after lifelong GI problems. Also I can't eat gluten without a severe reaction, got exposed, needed to call an ambulance within two hours of eating, receiving a kidney injury. That's weed though right? Only weed, no other options, take an antacid (I never get heartburn or acid reflux) and don't come back unless you are hospitalized again (which would be the 4th time this year). I pray to God no one with something life threatening goes to this guy, I don't think I'm dying personally, but losing 50lbs in 7 months unintentionally and not being concerned as a GI doctor is well .... Concerning. He didn't listen, he made up his mind before he even got into that room and saw me.
I'm not mad he told me to quit smoking, because I was already actively trying to do that, I'm mad he brushed me off based on one behavior I have, and not my actual symptoms. Another $80 out of my pocket for him I guess.

They charged me outrageous amount just to tell me to keep taking meds I was already taking. The doctor ordered a scope of my stomach. Nobody told me I would have to pay around 2000 bucks out of pocket for their facilities fee and which I didn't have so they proceeded to charge me more money for cancelation of the appointment. I called and they told me they would update the bill, they didn't they just sent it to collections instead. Screw these crooks.

The staff was wonderful, especially the woman at the front desk…. My issues is with Dr. Sieja. I had an ultra sound done of my stomach showing a Hiatal Hernia, he told me he didn’t believe the results and wanted to do an endoscopy. 2 weeks later I had it done, waited another week for the results. The nurse called and said the doctor wants further tests, I asked why and that I was in pain. The nurse said she had to talk to the doctor and call me back. I waited 2 days before calling two different times, I was told an urgent message was being sent for him to call me. I Called the office again the next day and was told 2 urgent messages were sent and she doesn’t know why the doctor isn’t calling me. Also turns out he doesn’t do that surgery and would have referred me out anyway!…. So unprofessional and such a waste of my time …. Don’t book with him unless you like waiting while your issues get worse

Had an appointment with Dr Brenner, and they were immediately belligerent and implying I was wasting their time visiting when I was given a referral. Add that they couldn't remember answers to questions she asked me 2 minutes after asking them, I'm definitely going to be looking for another referral. I don't need to try and convince doctors to do their jobs or take issues seriously. I now understand the joke "what do you call the person who graduates bottom of their class in medical school? Doctor"

Not sure if they were just upset they had a noon appointment or if theyre always that way, but not interested in finding out regardless. Office staff and assistants were friendly and pleasant

Dr. Rufner helped confirm a diagnosis for me after experiencing mystery symptoms for over two years. I felt like my concerns were taken seriously at this clinic and I am very thankful and actively working on symptom management. As part of my diagnosis I had an endoscopy at their procedure center and it went very smoothly there as well.

Everything here is pretty standard. The office staff are nice. Check in is easy. Long appointment wait times. Double check which doctor and research before. I was caught off guard seeing a PA for my first time. His lack of professionalism and knowledge level was concerning.
