This is my go-to shopping place. Things can get a little hectic inside the store on many days because so many people are shopping there. I think they need wider aisles because it is too difficult to have two lanes of traffic plus people having to search for items on shelves. Add to that all the stockers who are trying to unload product and the big shopper cart trying to pick up items for curbside delivery, make it very hectic. I have gotten hit by rude, impatient shoppers trying to push their way through crowded aisles.

On the plus side the employees are always very friendly and helpful, the store is usually well stocked and I can almost always find what I am looking for. (Those friendly employees always stop what they are doing and help me find what I need.) Also the store is clean and pretty well organized. (Except when they are re-organizing things!) The food is fresh and always has use by dates well marked.

And I love that they have so many easy to make pre-made meals so I can get a meal on the table quickly when I get home. And they are always adding new meals so as not to have the same old, same old to choose from every day.

I do like shopping for some plants there, as well as fresh flowers for when I need a nice gift. And except on holidays, there is always ample parking.

Very disappointed in the horrible produce. Everything is always close to rotting. Something needs to be done about the produce at this location. Seems to get worse. I’ve mentioned it to the manager a few months back but nothing has changed.

I was very disappointed in my daughter’s birthday cake. The bakery manger didn’t even call me back Luis. The cake was also very dry and the strips were gross. I have to go to another HEB and wait a whole 24 hrs to have the cake done again. I have never had any issues with the bakery with cakes but this cake wasn't it.

Lots of good Briskets and bbq meats, if you don't like what you see they're nice enough to go to the back and pull some more choices, awesome store.

Good store. I wish they had more hot and ready items though.

Updated: The parking lot was so full I just left and didn't get any of the groceries I needed. Why is this parking lot and store so small?

I am a local but I have many friends who are out of state that love seeing items exclusively at HEB because they don’t have one where they live, so I’ll take pictures or send video and many times they will want me to send items to them.

While taking a few pictures, I noticed that I was being watched by two women I assumed were managers. They had nasty looks on their faces like I was doing something wrong…granted, I had merchandise in my hands that I was planning to purchase.

There are many vloggers out there who take pictures and have pages that people follow to see all the wonderful things (especially seasonal) that Heb carries.

After my experience today, I don’t think I’ll get items for my friends at this location. They watch you like you are a thief and don’t hide the fact that they are disgusted by simple picture taking of a few items.

Not a good experience from a local who shops at this location FREQUENTLY.

Wow! I’m extremely impressed by the staff at the HEB at Alamo Ranch! I went on a Saturday afternoon and I expected the store to be a mess. The store was packed with customers but it was well staffed, clean, and organized. The staff was also extremely helpful and polite. One employee offered me a bag for my items. I asked another for direction to a product and without hesitation, they helped me locate what I needed. As I was getting in line to pay, I remembered, I needed one more item and an employee named Krystal pointed in the direction where I needed to go and offered to push my cart forward so I would not miss my spot. Hats off to the leadership team at this location and to the employees for caring about their jobs and customers.

Only ever go here for grocery pickups because the inside is always obnoxiously packed and annoying to deal with. Curbside is honestly not much better. You're gonna be lucky if anyone shows up with your groceries less than 20 minutes after check in, even if there are only a couple other cars waiting next to you. The grocery handlers are always 16-year-olds who couldn't care less and just throw, literally throw your items into the car, with no regard for items being damaged or crushed. One time they stored a fresh take and bake pizza in the back of our jeep on its side. Cmon. Final straw was today, when the literal child who works for HEB put a leaking bottle of draino on top of a whole pile of groceries. Now I need to clean up the draino from the back of my jeep and wipe down my bacon and soda packaging, so that's awesome. Really appreciate that, high school freshman. UPDATE: For some ungodly reason I decided to give this location another try, and now I've truly reached the final straw. A tub of Greek yogurt that was given to us in a curbside order that EXPIRED TWENTY-FIVE DAYS EARLIER. Thank God my girlfriend checked before opening it. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Nobody that works here has any pride or cares at all. H-E-B's strategy seems to be "offer terrible service and just refund anything no questions asked because they know it's justified". It's pathetic. It's shameful, and if nothing changes someone will get sick or die because of these lazy idiots. Never, ever order groceries from this place.
